Congratulations all round… Lane Cove Junior Club has officially registered its highest number of players in the clubs history with 378 junior players registered this past week and more players on the way. Last season 308 players were registered, the club committee set a target of 350 and this has been well exceeded. Lane Cove Junior Rugby is now the fastest growing junior rugby club on the North Shore.Well done to the current and past committee members who have industriously built the player numbers up over many seasons form the low 200s to the current figure 378. A special thank you goes out to our club registrar Hugh Brislan who has diligently registered all the lads over many years.

Australian Rugby Union is rewarding all those involved in Junior Rugby by offering massive discounts on tickets to the 2012 Qantas WallabiesTests.
Savings of more than 60% are available as part of an exclusive deal where any player, administrator, coach or referee registered at a Junior
Club is entitled to purchase for themselves, family and friends.
For the Qantas Wallabies v Wales Test at Allianz Stadium (formerly SFS) on Saturday, 23 June, Bronze Category tickets are on offer at just $20 this price applying to both Adults and Juniors. This compares with the
regular prices of $49 for Adults and $25 for Juniors.
The savings for the Qantas Wallabies v All Blacks Test at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, 18 October, are even more significant. A Silver Category ticket
has been reduced for Adults from $119 to only $45 and for Juniors from $60 to $45. Bronze Category tickets have also been dramatically cut
under the offer – down from $89 to only $35 for Adults and $45 to $35 forJuniors. ARU invites you to take up these offers and show your support for the
Qantas Wallabies as recognition of the investment, time and effort you dedicate to Rugby.

The annual Lane Cove Junior Rugby Club LONG LUNCH will be held on Friday the 11th May 2012. Guest speakers: Nick Farr Jones accompanied by other notable Wallaby alumni...The event is a key fund raiser for the U14 New Zealand tour. All Welcome Please attend and celebrate junior rugby.

JERSEY DAY SUNDAY 18TH MARCH 2012

Lane Cove Junior Rugby JERSEY DAY will be held on Sunday the 18th March 3-5pm on the green at the Longueville Sporting Club CNR Kenneth St and Longueville Road.Come along and meet your Coach and Manager, pick up your kit bag for 2012 and catch up with your team mates and families from last year. Club apparel will be available to purchase at the event.
This year film maker Theo Clark will be attending the event. Theo is making a documentary about the early days of Lane Cove Rugby and associated its alumni. He will be capturing footage of the club as it is today.
BBQ and games and music… All welcome.
